Well, now that I've gotten your attention, I'm sorry to burst your bubble; this email will have nothing to do with sex.
But I AM very grateful for those who opened it, as I am those who open and read them each week, and even more grateful for those who reach out and comment on each one too. The responses fill me with joy always at the reaction from all platforms which reach out with their views on each week's subject.
Something I started without anything more than to help one person or write something that may spark someone into a better understanding of things happening within their lives in a more accessible way to understand.
So this email is about gratitude (all those expecting sex talk exiting out of email now).
But also grateful to those who have signed up to receive these weekly and also thankful to those who have not (the ones who still click the link and read the link.)
Gratitude for certain things is something we all take for granted at times.
So today's message is to think about all you are grateful for.
Those of you who have a gratitude journal will be familiar with this.
But not only the things we possess or have that come to mind.
How about all of the stuff we have from the past?
It's about being grateful for all those uncomfortable experiences that allowed us to learn.
Weird right? Looking back and being glad of all the sad, bad parts in our lives, and saying thank you for them.
Gratitude for every poxy hard day we face, and remember we get another chance to make right the wrongs the next day.
For it was all those who got you to where you are today. You are NOT the same person you were; you have come so far and gotten out of that safe yet painful comfort zone.
So be grateful for YOU.
And all that happens after today, we will all have a choice to do things the same or try a new approach that doesn't bring any hurt or uncomfortable feelings. That choice is something to be grateful for, something we must give thanks for.
For the friends, we have lost or have fallen away only to discover new ones that lighten our days.
Your health, the roof over your head, the food on your plate, the tv you watch NetFlix shows on, giving all these thanks to others who have none.
You see, it becomes a natural reaction, saying no to things that do not serve you, making decisions based on a feeling rather than a habit or the easy option.
Remembering the choices made in the past will help you make that decision, like going home early or not doing shots when you do not have a bad hangover or allowing someone to sway your decision when deep down it's not something you wish to do.
Be thankful to yourself.
As I am thankful to you as always
